Art presentation refers to masonry structures built to display a work of art. Common examples are masonry niches, pedestals and shelves.
Masonry sculptures include freestanding structures or wall designs created from masonry materials. Often they are marble statues set on masonry foundations.
A niche is a recess in a wall especially for a statue. It can be a sheltered, private space that resembles a recess in a wall. An ornamental recess in a wall is usually semicircular in plan and arched, as for a statue or other decorative object. A niche can also be a cranny, hollow or crevice, as in a rock.
