{"id":1769,"date":"2014-09-16T16:33:35","date_gmt":"2014-09-16T16:33:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/waltonsons.com\/wp\/?page_id=1769"},"modified":"2014-10-31T05:26:18","modified_gmt":"2014-10-31T05:26:18","slug":"travertine","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/waltonsons.com\/?page_id=1769","title":{"rendered":"Travertine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i>Travertine rock<\/i> is a form of limestone containing calcite and iron oxides deposited by surface waters such as mineral springs, especially hot springs.\u00a0 It derives its name from the former town, known as Tibur in ancient roman times.\u00a0 Travertine \u00a0often has a fibrous or concentric appearance.\u00a0 In limestone caves it can form stalactites and stalagmites.
